Hi Bhavesh, 1. The difference is the sensor size for all the 3 sub-categories mentioned. Normally, point and shoot cameras have a small sensor size, preferable 1/2.3". And they don't necessarily display the actual image that is being seen through the viewfinder.  For DSLRs and Mirrorless, please go through this  - https://www.findyogi.com/machinehappy/what-do-you-choose-mirrorless-or-dslrs/ 2. No, not really. Having a high resolution camera doesn't necessarily mean that an image will have more clarity. Higher resolution comes in handy when it is required to give those images for printing purpose.  What's more important is to have a decent sensor size, which makes all the difference in the amount of light being captured, in this case information.  3. Always prefer cameras with high optical zoom. Digital zoom have a notoriety for distorting the final output of the image thereby rendering it less pleasant and making the image lose out on quality.  Optical zooms on the other hand work actually like a zoom lens, helping you zoom in on subjects and delivering quality content.  4. It is better to have a decent ISO number. With a high ISO number also comes the headache of noise factor in images.  Even for most DSLRs users, which have a very high ISO number rating, most of them try not go above a required number especially in low-light situations.

Hi Bhavesh, You can try out the Sony CyberShot DSC RX100 2   based on your experience factor.  It comes with a 1" sensor fitted inside a compact camera body making it a perfect pocketable camera. But what separates the RX100 series models are their ability to shoot pictures in low-light. It's 20MP CMOS sensor delivers high quality pictures along with well-detailed and sharp features.  Gives users the option to shoot images in both RAW and JPEG format. At wide angle, the maximum aperture of the Rx100 II comes in handy while clicking pictures in low-light as it is able to gather more light and is able to deliver less noise-present pictures at high ISOs. Has a frame rate of 10fps. It has Wi-Fi capabilities allowing for fast transfer between your smartphones and the camera. You can also record videos at 1080p at 60 fps.

Thanks Manish for your recommendation, but on online review it is seen that this "Sony Cybershot DSC-RX100 ii" model has some issue with wifi. Can you recommend any other Camera.

Hi Bhavesh, There is no such known problems with Wi-Fi on the RX100 II. It works perfectly, however the app might not be suitable enough for some people. It still however does the job that it's required. Transfer of photos is also easily done.

How much is inbuilt memory & max size of sd card  can be used. What type of battery is used.

Hi, If you click in RAW format, then it makes sense to go for a 32GB (including videos) Uses a Lithium Ion battery with CIPA clocking it at 350 shots.
