ASUS ROG GL552JX CN316T
ASUS ROG GL552JX CN316T - Available for Rs 77,500/-. Is it worth the same, or any other model available that's better in the same budget? Not a lot of gaming, max work would be AutoCAD..
Hi at that specfic would budget that would be the best option. but if u have a choice of going till around 82k you can go for Lenovo Y50 70 59 445565 (Ci7/ 8GB/ 1TB/ Win10 Home/ 4GB Graphic) Which comes with similar specs but a more powerful GPU 4GB DDR 5 RAM GTx 960M which is the best graphics card under 1.2 odd lakhs. since CAD does use quite a bit of GPU the faster ram and clock cpu will always be helpful.
Regarding that hybrid storage system.. and the 8GB SSD.. that imo is a downside, no? or does it use an M2 slot? the Asus does, which makes it powerful given the fact it has a 7200rpm HDD, and an M2 slot that can easily take a 256GB SSD as primary storage.. Also, ASUS clearly states that the M2 is accessible, and can be used as per choice by the customer... that's from what i could gather so far, need an upgrade on my Sony i3-2nd gen lol !
IF you want the option of SSD expansion go with the Asus the hdd and the extra slot makes it worth while. also since u wont be gaming much the difference between the 2 is neglibile and the SSD will make significantly more difference than the gpu
Thanks mate! I was looking for the CN009H, but unfortunately that's not available, and I can not find another similar option for the same at a slightly cheaper rate.. another layman question though, dual core vs quad core.. it'll make a lot of difference right? i am not worried about battery life, I need performance all day. as a result I'm steering clear of the "U" series..
Yes they make a lot of difference mainly cause both are same cores but the HQ editions are high performance variants menat for high end computing and U editions are basics for daily usage.
