Add GMail contacts in your iPhone Contacts: No Jailbreak required

Now when Facebook is integrated in iOS 6, all the contacts are updated in sync with your Facebook account but adding GMail contacts has always been a problem. Even though when we integrate our GMail account in default mail client of iPhone, while composing the mail you cannot fetch the contact e-mail addresses from GMail directly and that’s where the big problem comes. But today I will help you to add all the contacts of GMail in your iPhone contacts and for that you will not have to add any jailbreak tweak or application. Just follow the steps mentioned below and you will see all the contacts in your contacts section.

  • Now go to the Settings section and add a new mail account but the type of the account should be Exchange server.

  • Now enter the details for the GMail account in that section and then click next.

  • On this screen, enter the server as ‘m.google.com’ and rest of the information is same which has been entered on the previous screen.

  • Once the account is added just make sure that you only switch ON the ‘Contact’ sync on this account, which will help you to see all the contacts on your iPhone.
