Faster than a Bugatti Veyron? Disbelief written clear on your face isn’t it. Well that’s precisely the reaction I gave when I reviewed this hyper car from the infamous exclusive stables of Koenigsegg, the Swedish manufacturers of super cars for the world’s exclusive. However the Agera R is now the fastest car on the planet earth. And yes, it is faster than a Bugatti Veyron. In the world of supercars this is a statement in itself of the things that you can expect from the car.
The Bugatti Veyron, the fastest car in the world for a long time and the only one which could do 254 mph and could beat the likes of the Lamborghini Aventador and any other car from the same segment now stands to lose its crown to the 2013 Agera R which can coax a top speed of 273 mph.
Today I am really in the pursuit of the exclusive as I check out this mean machine. For the headrush come check it out with me.
Agera R Specs Speak:
The Agera R is one powerful car in its bearings. Its not one of those very fast cars which move at flashy speeds without the driver even feeling it. Its a mean machine whose speeds are high and the driver can actually feel the way it picks up speed and experience all its mean power. The Agera R is a beast in terms of its power and aerodynamic performance, if I were to sum up its prime hit points.
Lets check out its performance specs to delve deep into this sexy dream drive.
The specifications of the 2013 Agera R speaks the following at a sneakpeek:
- Power output: 1140 hp at 7100 rpm
- Torque: over 1000 Nm from 2700 to 7300 rpm
- Max torque: 1200 Nm at 4100 rpm
- Acceleration: 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) 2.9 seconds, 0-200 km/h 7.5 sec, 0-300 km/h 14.5 sec, 0-300-0 km/h 21.2 sec, 0-200-0 km/h 12.7 sec

At 1140 hp power levels, the Agera R is easily the most powerful supercar in the market segment in the world. Compared to it the Bugatti Veyron delivers a power output of 1001 hp. Furthermore the 2013 Agera R goes from a 0-200 kmph in 12.7 seconds which implies the most effortless acceleration in its class. Although normally for supercars reviews donot carry a fuel consumption and efficiency preview but for this car I got to mention that it definitely gives a very pretty sight on this front too. Considering on highway driving this car covers 100 kms with 12.5l of fuel which is an elite in this segment. Rounded up the 2013 Agera R definitely leads now in its performance specs as the hypercar that tops the supercar market for now.
The auto speak section covers the specs of the car which would make you go gaga all over it.
The engine speaks are as follows:

The 2013 Agera R in its engine performance definitely delivers a blow. What I specifically like about the engine is the multipoint fuel injection designed with dual injectors per cylinder which implies a neat transition at all speeds and doesnot wear down the engine.
Transmission Specs: The transmission on the 2013 Agera R is a specially designed 7 speed dual clutch with 1 input shaft transmission with paddle shift and electronic differential.

When we are talking about a supercar elite like the 2013 Agera R, words alone donot suffice to complete the experience. A driver’s viewpoint is what I would like to talk about here. The Agera R is incredibly fast, no doubt about that. But what I like on it is not the speed but the very good traction that one experiences at incredible speeds. What initially caught my eye was the detachable and stowable hardtop which is very rare to find in a roadster supercar like the Agera R. Now going into the cockpit with the driver experience of the 2013 Agera R, the car definitely speaks its power. For many other supercars while the heady rush of the machine can be heard on the external points, in this one the rush of the car can be experienced and heard from inside the car and is definitely an exciting differential on it. The steering on the Agera R is really heavy but gives a very smooth and satisfactory navigation even on steep twists and turns. The car is aesthetically designed on the aerodynamic fronts, which implies that the drive remains shaky at a minimum even when taking the car through its paces at the extreme topline speeds.
All in all the 2013 Agera R from Koenigsegg definitely takes away the honour in terms of being the hypercar on paper but in real life regular usage on the road by users it remains to be seen whether it can rev up the durable and dependable performance and excitement of the Bugatti Veyron.
The 2013 Agera R stands at:
Price: At 1,309,000 Euros (excluding VAT) there won’t be many of these around, but the few out there will be definitely watched with envy.
