Oppo has been a name that has been somewhat popular in the Indian smartphone sector for quite some time now – with the N and R series carving a niche for themselves. The company is now gearing up to launch its new lineup of camera centric phones in the country – the Oppo F1 is the first product in the F-series which will launch in India by the end of January.
If rumours are to be believed, then the Oppo F1 is the international variant of the Oppo A53 which was launched in China in December 2015. The Oppo A53 came with some pretty decent specifications which included a Snapdragon 616 SoC, 2GB RAM, a 5.5-inch HD IPS display that has a 2.5D curvature and a 7.4 mm thick magnesium alloy chassis.
The A53 also came with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that could be expanded via the hybrid SIM slot. The rear snapper has a resolution of 13MP, while the front facing shooter has a 5MP sensor. The battery is a 3075mAh one with fast charging, and the OS on board is Android 5.1 Lollipop with Color OS 2.1 layered over it.
The Oppo F1 is stated to launch at the Indian event on January 28th. Further specifications and pricing will be revealed then.
