A new, still unannounced Sony smartphone has been caught on Picasa. The model number C5303 has codename HuaShan and it will be launched throughout the world around next year.
According to XperiaBlog and its sources, the Sony C530X will have few model numbers (C5302, C5303, C5306) along with a special version for the Chinese market. Chances are we’ll see it in person either at CES or at MWC.
The EXIF details also highlight new firmware version 12.0.A.0.273, i.e. eDream 12. We had previously seen eDream 10 firmware appear on the Sony C650X ‘Odin’. HuaShan is likely to be a mid-range model in 2013 versus the Yuga and Odin flagships. It may also include rear glass panel which may give an elegant look to it’s design but if it has the same problem as Nexus 4 and Optimus G, Sony will have put some thought behind using the rear glass feature in Huashan.
Also there are rumours that Sony C530X will be available in the price range of $200-$250.
