On Thursday, Microsoft issued its “Security Bulletin Advance Notification”, which details security updates being released during the month. In the notification are four critical security updates. Of which, three are applicable for recently released Windows 8 and Windows RT. These patches have been termed “Critical” without which the new OS is vulnerable to “Remote Code Execution”. Similar issues are also addressed for Windows 7 and Windows XP. Microsoft is holding a webcast on Nov 14th explaining these issues. The web cast is on-demand and one can register themselves here.
