We’ve seen quite a few Chinese smartphone manufacturers make their way into the Indian market, the likes of which include Xiaomi, OnePlus, Meizu, QiKU and Coolpad among others. LeTV is one company which has made quite a mark for itself as far as affordable and powerful devices are concerned, and they are heading westwards towards India.
At a recent fan meetup in Bengaluru, it was announced that LeTV would be launching its flagship phone – the Le Max – in India in mid-January. Packed with some extremely high end specifications, it threatens to blow the competition out if priced well. In this article, we take a look at all that the Le Max will be offering.
The LeTV Le Max has been quite popular among Chinese phone enthusiasts, mainly because of the beastly specifications that it has to offer. For starters, there’s the humongous screen real estate of 6.33 inches, with a QHD resolution of 2560×1440. The large size in a way puts it beyond the phablet category and more towards the tablet segment.
When it comes to the processor, the Le Max packs a powerful Snapdragon 810 64-bit Octa-Core CPU under the hood, with an Adreno 430 GPU. In the memory department, there’s 4GB of DDR4 RAM and a choice among 32, 64 and 128GB for the internal memory.
As far as optics are concerned, the main snapper on this device is a 21MP camera with a Sony IMX230 sensor that features optical image stabilization, f/2.0 aperture, dual tone flash and dual ISP support. The front facing camera has a resolution of 4MP with an 81.6 degree wide angle lens to include more people in that selfie.
Talking about the software, this phone has Android Lollipop 5.0 with the company’s own EUI layered on top. The phone also has some additional features, such as a fingerprint scanner and a USB Type C connector. The battery on the device is a 3400 mAh one. The phone is 4G ready with support for two SIM cards.
LAUNCH DATE REVELATION
In a recent fan meetup in Bengaluru, LeTV officials stated (via Fonearena) that the Le Max would be showcased during an event on January 5th in New Delhi, following which the phone might be launched in mid-January.
The company has stated that it would be launching more devices along with the Le Max, and would also be bringing in some entertainment content. All the devices would be customized according to the needs of the Indian audience.
