LG expands their portfolio with the addition of new wearable for kids called LG KizON Smartband. This smartband will help parents to keep track of their kid’s whereabouts. This gadget is associated to an android app through which parents will be able to track location of their kids. This wearable is GPS and Wifi enabled and can be monitored using any Android smartphone or tablet.
LG KizON smartband has a one step direct call feature which can make call to a preconfigured phone number. This number can changed/updated anytime through the app. This enables parents to constantly communicate with their small kids. If the child fails to answer the call with 10 seconds it automatically connects the call and parents can listen through a built in microphone. The device has a 400 mAh battery which is said to last for 36 hours and gives a notification to the parents when it falls below 25 percent.
LG confirms that this band is constructed of eco-friendly polythiourethane (PTU) material that is water-resistant as well as stain resistant. A wide range of accessories featuring popular animation characters will be available for KizON, which comes in three attractive colors: blue, pink and green.
