Microsoft Unveiled Nokia Lumia 830: 10 MP PureView Rear Camera

Microsoft announced new Windows Phone with a high-end camera that’s being marketed as “the affordable flagship.” This new phone combines the best of Lumia with the latest from Microsoft. This device is a successor of Nokia Lumia 820 hence names as Nokia Lumia 830. Lumia 830 is designed to remove all the shortcomings of Lumia 820. The company’s strategy: Bring the PureView brand, which has typically been associated with Nokia’s premium phones, to a more affordable price point on the Lumia 830 seems to get much need attention in the market plus is one of the biggest selling point for this device.



Lumia 830 has gained popularity due to its much highlighted 10 MP PureView rear Camera with ZEISS optics. Nokia Lumia 830 sports a 5 inch 720p display guarded with Gorilla Glass 3. Nokia Lumia 830 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Quad Core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz supported by 1 GB RAM. Look wise Lumia 830 resembles Lumia 930. This device offers faster processing speed, improved display resolution, removable battery, Nano Sim Slot, Slimmer device. Lumia 820 was 9.9mm thick whereas Lumia 830 is slightly slimmer at 8.5mm.

ZEISS optics ensures that it capture photos just like other expensive Lumia handsets. There are 3 high-performance microphones to help with Nokia’s Rich Recording, and surround sound capture (Dolby 5.1), with uplink noise cancellation for phone calls.


  • Lumia 830 will come with Lumia Denim Update with Windows Phone 8.1.1 OS which is exclusive to only Lumia Devices.
  • New version of Lumia Camera with sport faster shot – to – shot and pocket – to – picture features.
  • Lumia Camera has the ability to take a picture with flash and one without it; while editing the final image, it comes with a slider that lets user decide how much light is showing up in the picture.

Like the other smartphones under Lumia series this device will also be available in vibrant colors. The Lumia 830 will come in green, orange, grey and white. Company plans to start shipping later this month. Device is priced at €330 or approximately $433 USD and INR 26,000.
