Annoyed by the purple flare that occasionally shows up on the images or videos taken using your latest iPhone 5 ? Cheer up, Apple has come out with an explanation for the reason behind the issue and how it can be “solved”. According to Apple, the purple flare shows-up “when a light source is positioned at an angle (usually just outside the field of view) so that it causes a reflection off the surfaces inside the camera module and onto the camera sensor”. Apple has included a solution to the issue,”Moving the camera slightly to change the position at which the bright light is entering the lens, or shielding the lens with your hand, should minimize or eliminate the effect”. We at MachineHappy hope apple comes out with a better solution to the issue.
