It is really irritating to receive the requests for the social applications and games, especially when you don’t want to use them at all and everything in your notification bar is full of those things. Moreover if you try any of these things a single time and forget to uninstall them from your ID, then will keep on posting anything crap from your profile and you will seldom know about it. If you are really pissed off due to these things then I will suggest you to turn off the platform for this on your Facebook profile. In this post I will tell you that how you can you do this.
You will see a sub-section named ‘Ads, Apps and Websites’, this section will have a list of all the applications and other links which have taken some permission of your account. Whenever you use any application for the first time, you always agree to their terms and conditions. Once you agree to those norms, you give certain permission to these applications and ads, which are always mentioned in the popup (where permission is granted). You can get the list of all the applications which you have ever used in your account.
You can uninstall them or revoke the access from them one by one or you can totally switch off the platform. Click on ‘Edit Settings’.
Click ‘Turn Off Platform’ to finally switch off the platform, as once you confirm this, you will not receive any request related to any application and you will never be able to login to any web-service using your Facebook account credentials.
