Motorola has been feasting on sucess in the Indian market with its Moto G selling like hot cakes. The huge selling features can be directly attributed to the right price tag and the features Moto G came with. The Moto X has garnered very good reviews worldwide. Moto X has been poised at the lower end premium smartphone sector with features that are exclusive to the price range. Moto X comes with backpanels treated with a dash of wood which makes the X look apart from its glossy plastic and the usually bleak metal finish.
Design And Build:
The size of the screen of Motorola Moto X is 4.7 inches which is average and not so huge like phablets. The small screen makes it easy to carry around. The weight of Motorola Moto X is more which is quite heavy as compared to 5 inch Samsung Galaxy S4 having same weight of 130 grams. The back panel has a curved shape and textured finish which helps to give good grip to the users. The motorola gives a special option of customising the panel colours through a special site called Moto Maker.You can change the back and front covers, trim and add laser engravings. The front side of Motorola Moto X has a 4.7 inch screen with no dedicated bottons for options or home screen. The volume rocker is on the left hand side and the power button is on the right. The 3.5 mm jack is on the top and USB port is at the base.
Motorola Moto X has a 10 MP camera which gives some decent clicks outdoors with decent lighting. The camera resolution is not too high as compared to high end smartphones like Nokia Lumia 920 or HTC One . But the best feature is the camera app is that it will open really fast in three seconds so that you dont miss any precious moments to capture in your smartphone. You dont need to unlock the screen just twist it once and the camera app opens automatically. You can take good images by just tapping anywhere on the screen as there is no dedicated camera button present. There are tons of features present in camera app which the user can apply on his images. The Camera is also accompanied by LED flash which helps to take images in dark and a 2MP front camera which lets the user to video call and use Skpe.
Motorola Moto X doesn't come with a high end display bearing 1080p like the other high end smartphones. Motorola Moto X comes along with a AMOLED 720 x 1280 pixels display whose quality is above average giving decent display output. The text and graphics look pretty smooth in 4.7 inch screen but there is a bit of pixelation compared to 1080p high resolution screened devices. The ppi of Motorola Moto X is similar to iPhone 5's Retina display. The screen of Motorola Moto X is protected by Gorilla glass which protects it in rough and tough conditions also prevents it from breaking easily. The screen has multitouch feature which gives upto 10 fingers multitouch option giving an amazing high end gaming experience.
The proceesing speed of Motorola Moto X is not as good as Samsung Galaxy S4 and LG G2 but it is average, same as most of the mid range smartphones. It is loaded with 1.7 Ghz dual core Qualcomm processor which is good but cannot be compared to high end smartphones like LG Optimus G or Samsung Galaxy S4. The applications run smoothly and being a google variant the user gets the direct android updates like Nexus Smartphones. Motorola Moto X comes with Android 4.2.2(JellyBeans) which is good and gives decent performance. The Motorola Moto X is not stacked with too many applications but with decent handy apps. The Google Now is an amazing app which is more robust and powerful then Siri in iPhone. It gives the user a touchless interface where he can command the Motorola Moto X only by using his voice.The notification system is different where you dont have to unlock your phone again and again like other devices. The Moto X's screen pulses every few seconds glimpse of your notifications like texts, missed calls, tweets, Facebook messages and Candy Crush alerts.
Power On It:
Motorola devices are known to give good battery life, Motorola Moto X is the newest member of Motorola family which was launched after collaboration with Google. It comes with a 2200 mAh Li-ion battery which is lower than Samsung Galaxy S4 and LG G2 but is able to give battery standby upto 576 hrs which is 50% more than that of Samsung Galaxy S4 and LG G2. Battery talktime is less upto 13 hrs but is average compared to other smartphones with same battery capacity.
Motorola Moto X is a good looking smartphone released by Motorola with decent specs and features. The Motorola Moto X is a mid range smartphone but performs better than most of the smartphones present in the market at a decent price range.
