Samsung Galaxy Note Overview

Published :

The Good

  • Is a good crossover between a phone and a tablet
  • Big screen

The Bad

  • Unnecessary softwares
  • Too bulky
  • Poor battery performance

The Bottom Line

The Samsung Galaxy Note is one of the most powerful Android smartphones, however its day to day utility is marginalised because of its size.

The phablet phenomenon continues with Samsung's flagship larger phone-tablet hybrid updated to run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. With the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note showed a promising highest selling smartphone having size of a phone but qualities of a PC.

Design And Build:

The frame of this Samsung Galaxy device is a sleek and stylish one, with straight edges meeting at nominally curved corners. The dimensions of the phone are 146.9 x 83 x 9.7 mm which gives it quite a slender frame and it weighs a hefty 178g. The AMOLED technology present in the device which makes for a highly attractive display. The phone comes with multiple useful sensors such as the accelerometer, proximity sensor, gyro sensor, barometer and geo-magnetic sensor that make the phone a highly efficient device.

Camera Performance:

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 features a 8 megapixel primary camera which is backed up by an LED flash to click pictures in low light. The camera doubles up to record Full HD video and play HD video as well. The camera features other useful features such as Auto-focusTouch focus and image stabilization that serve to enhance the usability of the camera. The phone sports a 2 megapixel secondary camera so that the user can conduct video calling easily.

Display Clarity:

The Super AMOLED screen has a lower, 1280 x 800 resolution which is better than it's successor Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The images and videos give an awesome HD experience on screen and are treat for the eyes of users.

Processing Speed:

The operating system is backed up by a powerful 1.4 GHz Dual Core Exnos which ensures that applications on the phone are run in a smooth manner. Also the high end games and multiple operations can be carried out easily.

Power On It:

The device runs on a mammoth 2500 mAh Li-Ion battery for optimum battery life. It's battery life is not so good compared to all the other smartphones in it's competition running so many applications and the huge screen size. Due to so many functions and features the battery drains easily.

In this time of large screens if you want a phone with amazing features and qualities then Samsung galaxy note is the good choice to go out for. All in all Samsung Galaxy Note is the decent contender in the race of best smartphones but it's successor Samsung Galaxy Note 2 removes all the flaws present in Samsung Galaxy Note and is worth checking out for its amazing features.

Smartphone With Good Diplay Quality

Hi, I want to buy a Amoled display phone around 20k, but i am not getting it within my price range, i am not fan of gaming or heavy apps, i just love to see videos and surf internet i am getting Samsung Note n7000 second hand can it will be good option for me.

Hi Aamir, I always suggest that users should avoid Samsung smartphones under the price of 20,000 INR. Mainly because the quality of hardware of the smartphone is really low and you will end up experience something really bad with that smartphone. This price range is a perfect option for Huawei Honor 6, Huawei Honor 6 Its 13 MP Primary camera, Full HD Display and HiSlicon Octa Core Processor, makes it a powerful beast at this price range.

My question was should i buy Samsung Note n7000 second hand can it will be good option for me, bcoz i am not fan of gaming or heavy apps, i just love to see videos and surf internet

I am getting Note n7000 at only 11000 in good condition.

Note 7000 is so obsolete now and the same goes to the Android version installed on it. That is the reason I would suggest not to go for that device, but if you dont want to spend much, then as per your requirements Xiaomi Redmi 1S is also really good. It is available only at the price of 6000 INR

U r right abhinav thanks.
