Samsung Galaxy Young is a good looking mid range smartphone which looks similar to Samsung Galaxy Grand and Samsung Galaxy Y . It is a decent mid range smartphone which is loaded with good processor and RAM. The Android V4.1.2 JellyBeans is loaded in it which is backed the processor and RAM giving good interface and performance. But the feature which lets Samsung Galaxy Young down is it's screen which has low resolution and doesn't give that good display output.
Design And Build:
The Samsung Galaxy Young on the first glance looks similar to Samsung Galaxy Y duos or Samsung Galaxy Grand. It has the same plastic body and curved edges which gives good grip. The size of the Samsung Galaxy Young is not so long but it's thickness is 12.3 mm which makes it a bit difficult to hold on. It just weighs 112 g which is light and easy to carry around. There is a 3.5 mm audio jack at the top and volume rocker at the left hand side. The lock or power button is on the right hand side.
The Samsung Galaxy Young is loaded with basic 3.15 MP camera which is really basic. It is not loaded with any extraordinary features. The images clicked are really basic if not clicked in proper light, images are dark. Samsung Galaxy Young is not loaded with any flash or front facing camera. So you dont have the option of clicking the images in the dark or any option of video calling or skype.
One thing that lets the Samsung Galaxy Young down is the 320 x 480 pixel resolution. It does not have a very high end display like Samsung Galaxy S4 or HTC One which give crystal clear images and videos. It has a 3.27 inch screen which is not very big but decent to fit in users palms. Samsung Galaxy Young has a capacitive touchscreen which has good touch interface.
Samsung Galaxy Young is loaded with 1 GHz Broadcom single core processor which manages to give some decent processing speed and performance. Samsung Galaxy Young has average processing speed and slow screen interface compared to high end smartphones like HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 but is decent and smooth compared to the other smartphones of similar category. The 758 MB RAM gives some decent RAM space for running different processes and multitasking.
Power On It:
Samsung Galaxy Young is loaded with 1300 mAh Li-ion battery which gives good output. It manages to give about 250 hrs of standby time and about 6.67 hrs of talktime. Compared to the other mobiles having same battery capacity the output of Samsung Galaxy Young is good. The capacity of the battery is low so the size of the battery is not big as a result the weight of the phone is less.
All in all Samsung Galaxy Young is a mid end smartphone which is loaded with basic features. The specs on the processing side are good which help to give good performance and speed but the display clarity lets it down giving option to check out other smartphones like Karbonn A11 and HTC Desire Z.
