This is a 32GB version of the Redmi Note 3.
Design And Build:
If there is one thing Xiaomi has always been good at, its industrial design and top notch build quality devices regardless of the price.
That trend continues with the Redmi note 3 with its curved edges the phone fits into hand very well where they curve almost all the way upto the screen along with the full metal body the phone feels as premium as they come. Another commendable aspect of the device is how it has managed to cramp in large 4050 mAh battery in relatively light 5.5 inch metal body device with small bezels.
Xiaomi also made sure the design is very well balanced with no oddities and little details like the small bump under the back speaker to make sure the sound isn't muffled when the device is kept on a table makes you really appreciate the device.
Camera is another department where Xiaomi has consistently delivered best in class cameras at every price point compared to similarly priced devices by the competition. You'd be glad to hear that continues with Redmi Note 3′s 16-megapixel f/2.0 camera with PDAF.
Camera is better than Mi 4i in many aspects like auto focus speed but lacks in some other departments like details and image processing speed but considering the price point its still one of the best cameras for the budget.
The 5.5-inch 1080p display on the Redmi Note 3 has really good sunlight visibility thanks to Xiaomis Sunlight display Technology, which automatically increases the contrast on the device under heavy lighting.
Like many budget Xiaomi devices this one also doesn't come with Corning Gorilla Glass but it still does come with a scratch resistant glass. Xiaomi has ensured that its on par with Gorilla Glass and just as good.
The processor Snapdragon 650 could actually be one of the primary reasons one would like to go for the Redmi note 3.
Arguably the most powerful SoC you can get right now in a device under 20k which competes straight with the 2015 flagship powering processors with Snapdragon 810 and 808.
All the performance of a top end chip with none of the heating issues, which plagued chips like SD 810 and 615 makes the SD650 the best chip you can get in the market at this price point by a considerable margin because it clearly blows even the other mid range chips like Helio X10 outta the water in performance.
Phone also supports every 4G LTE band in India including VolTE.
Phone Also runs on MIUI 7 based on Android 5.1 which is a little disappointing since its a brand new device and there no reason it shouldn't be on 6.0 on base miui 7. Pretty sure it will be update sooner than later since MIUI does get regular updates.
MIUI is not your traditional Android Skin and its heavily Modified which resembles iOS lot more than Android.
It's not entirely a bad thing especially when it comes with MIUI since they always had heavily optimized software which works quite well and tons of useful and additional features over Stock Android like induvidual app lock using the finger print scanner.
The battery is one department where Xiaomi has beaten even the normal expectations with its massive 4050 mAH battery.
Phone can last a day even for some of the heaviest users and 2 days for light to moderate users
Even without taking the insane value this device brings to the table. On its own regardless of the pricing its a top notch well rounded device with almost no stones left unturned.
Great Design, Battery Life, Great Screen and punches well above its weight and the pricing of the device is just icing on the cake making purchase a no brainer at sub 15k.
