1) Windows based tabs are usually preferred when a user wants a tablet with good performance (lesser UI Lag). However Android OS has good number of options when it comes to various application. Hence most of the geeks prefer to use a tablet with Android OS. 2) I dont have much clue about how RAM actually operates in laptops or PCs but RAMs in case of tablets or smartphone are used to cache the currently running operations and services on the device. 3)Android is highly battery consuming OS. 4) Yes, HDDs can be connected to Android or Windows tablets, provided, they have OTG support. If the tablet support OTG connection, you can buy an OTG cable (worth 100 to 150 INR) and use that cable to connect mouse, keyboards, pen drives, HDDs with your smartphone or tablet. 5) Yes, SIM calling and Voice calling are independent. Using SIM calling you will be able to make calls using SIM and rather use the whole tablet as a smartphone (calling and data packs). However, you can also use VoIP based applications to perform voice calling. 6) No Clue 7) Obviously we can do that, but there are no easy tools to do that. You will have to use Windows SDK to do that. Moreover, in case of Android it is really really easy to root the device and install custom ROM over it.
