4K LED TV
I am searching for a 4K LED TV with 3D feature within 50 inches size. Preferably with backlight and not edge lit.
Thanks for the information. Isn't there any such product of Sony/Samsung with such feature? I am truly unaware of LG TVs.
If you're looking for a model from another brand, then you can go with Sony Bravia KD 55X8500C 55 inch Smart 3D 4K Ultra HD LED
Hmm..I understand... that is over budget also 55inches not my requirement..anyways... I will probably go for that 49UF850T from LG, as you suggested. Thanks. Hope LG tv has no issue and 49inches( odd size ) has availability of parts in future.
LG is a premier brand among all the TV brands. And they also offer IPS panels which are widely considered to be really good for viewing experience.
I was thinking Panasonic TH-49CX700D Ultra HD Smart 3D LED TV over LG 49UF850T... as picture performance seems better. I am not sure of availability, price difference, 3D quality, Netflix, and other aspect comparison. Please suggest
Go with the LG model. It's backlight feature stands out as most of the important specs. As it offers uniform contrast across the board and also has better viewing features. Offers 3D conversion and is cheaper than the Panasonic model also.
I saw LG has some issue in pure black content and also has all the ports behind..so may be an issue for wall mounting. On the other hand Panasonic has active 3D ( flicker problem ) and very primitive OS and isn't it backlit(??) I read LG is edge lit...Panasonic has picture quality better than LG( ?? ). Suddenly found Samsung UA48HU8500R in findyogi... where it is standing comparing with two above mentioned?? I want to buy during 23-26 Jan. Please clear my doubts. This is my final set of doubts. Thanks in advance
Hi Pushpal, Are you talking about dimming ? As you have said it yourself, the Panasonic does face some laidbacks when compared to the LG model. Also, Panasonic has not listed anything about the model being backlit or edgelit. LG's slightly outperforms the Panasonic when it comes to viewing performance. The Samsung model stands pretty much in the same plane with the two models. But it does not come with Android or webOS. And instead has an OS of its own. Also, IPS panels are much more better than other panels.
Panasonic and Samsung both have active 3D, whereas LG is passive 3D..I believe passive is better. but LG's level of black is not so deep comparing to Panasonic / Samsung..thats I am telling. Also LG has all of the ports just behind and that may cause issue for wall mounting... these are the things bothering me... I have seen the LG but not the Panasonic..dont know whether it has already come to market or not
Hi, Passive 3D is way better than the Active 3D ones Firstly, the glasses are cheaper than the active ones. and also they cause less strain on the eyes leading to a more relaxed viewing experience. Also, 4K content is much strong when viewed with passive 3D feature. and about the black content. The LG model has backlit LED lighting so the local dimming feature takes care of your non-uniformity in color and produces color where it's required. Regarding ports placement, I don't think it should cause a problems. There will always be sufficient distance so as not to cause any problems while wall mounting.
